MIDDLETOWN — Patricia Dye, a 31-year-old woman accused last year of pretending to be a boy to build a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old Springboro girl, has been arrested in California.
Dye was in the jail in Humboldt County, Calif., on a fugitive warrant from Butler County, according to jail officials.
Dye was charged with failure to report an address change after moving from Middletown in August, according to court records. Details were unavailable about her Dec. 8 arrest.
Dye, also known as Matt Abrams, was released from the Warren County Jail in December 2010 after serving six months for contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child, sexual imposition and attempted sexual imposition. D

Seventeen years after its original passage, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was introduced for reauthorization last month with the bipartisan leadership and support of Senator Patrick Leahy and Senator Mike Crapo.

EDWARDVILLE — Madison County’s board chairman will run for another term, he announced Thursday.
Alan Dunstan has served as a board member since 1980 and was elected chairman in 2002. If his bid is successful, it will be his third term as chairman.
Dunstan said he believes Madison County to be the “best, most efficiently managed county in the state.”
Dunstan, 54, said he has worked to keep the county in sound financial condition and has cut the budget each year for the past four years.
